The Zoono Group is a New Zealand based, ASX listed corporation that manufactures and distributes a range of unique, safe and long lasting antimicrobial products. Derived from technology originally developed by German scientists during the 1930’s, the active ingredient was initially developed to control the spread of microbial infections and prevent algal growth and until the end of World War 2, this cutting edge technology was literally a military secret.

Zoono products are made from the most basic of raw organic compounds. Today, it has been re-engineered (11th Generation) into a water based solution which provides the antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal and anti algal protection of a broad spectrum antimicrobial sanitiser that continuously eliminates pathogens for up to one month from each application whilst being totally non-toxic for humans and animals alike.

Germ Free Bioscience Australia's two (2) core products are Microbe Shield (Z-71) surface sanitiser and Germ Free24 hand sanitiser. These unique products have been clinically proven to have a long lasting antimicrobial effect whilst having a similar LD50 toxicity level to that of Vitamin C. Germ Free Bioscience Australia use only alcohol-free products.

Zoonotechnology has been tested in accredited laboratories around the world, including the UK, Germany, NZ, Australia, Turkey, Japan, South Africa, China, India and the USA. All results are available on request.

HOW DOES ZOONO TECHNOLOGY WORK?

Unlike traditional sanitisers that kill bacteria by poison or high alcohol content, Zoono's Microbe Shield (Z-71) is a food safe, water-based, surface sanitiser applied as a mist which becomes effective when allowed to dry. Once dry (approx. 10 minutes), Microbe Shield resembles a bed of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and eliminates pathogens – the same principle as a pin popping a balloon. And, in the same manner that the burst balloon cannot be reformed, neither can the pathogens – this means no resistance and no superbugs.

HOW DO I APPLY MICROBE SHIELD SURFACE SANITISER (Z-71)?

For commercial and technical applications, industry specific written protocols are recommended and are provided as required. Applications include fogging/misting, surface application and hand sanitiser application. Around the home, just follow the instructions on the label – apply Microbe Shield via a trigger pack and allow approximately 10 minutes for drying - the technology will then achieve maximum efficiency. ARE THERE ANY TEST RESULTS FOR ZOONO PRODUCTS?

YES. Zoono holds many test results from laboratories located in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Germany, USA, China, Turkey, Taiwan, South Africa and Japan. All results are available on request.

CAN YOU PROVE ZOONO TECHNOLOGY WORKS - IN MY HOME/BUSINESS?

When quick efficacy tests are required, our trained staff will take bacteria level swabs (before and after treatment) from the required surface/s and measure them via an ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) bacteria level testing device. ATP is a globally accepted method of testing for pathogenic presence and is commonly used by QA personnel in all major food and beverage production facilities. Test results, which take but a minute, can determine the BEFORE and AFTER treatment levels.  Each test result is recorded under your business for convenient reference.

IS ZOONO TECHNOLOGY TOXIC? CAN I USE IT AROUND MY CHILDREN?

All products have a toxicity level – including water. In the case of Microbe Shield and GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser, they have a toxicity rating similar to that of Vitamin C.  So YES, Zoono technology can be safely used around people, pets, food surfaces and plants alike. In fact, when Zoono is in its liquid form our technology is safe – even if mistakenly consumed (it is designed for sanitisation and as a result, the taste will not be appealing).  Once Zoono dries, its sanitisation efficiency commences – and it continues to be safe.

ARE THERE OTHER ZOONO PRODUCTS?

YES. In addition to the Microbe Shield there is Zoono GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser – and as its name implies, GermFree24 provides maximum hand protection for 24 hours with just ONE application per day. HOW DO I USE THE GERMFREE24 HAND SANITISER?

Simply apply a sufficient amount of GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser to cover your hands and gently rub until dry. Once dry, the solution becomes effective quickly.  Your hands will then be fully protected for 24 hours. There will no longer be a reason to open public toilet doors with just one finger, no reason to feel uncomfortable holding onto public transport fittings or touching doors, keyboards or ATM buttons when you are protected with this unique and long lasting safe product.  Hands can be washed normally and even dried with a towel and this will not affect the efficacy of the product.

WILL GERMFREE24 DISCOLOUR MY CLOTHES?

NO. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser is a liquid that is invisible on application. It forms an antimicrobial barrier on the skin and will not stain clothing nor discolour skin.

WILL GERMFREE24 WASH OR RUB OFF?

NO. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser does not rub off and will remain active on the skins surface for 24 hours. Normal washing of the hands and drying with a towel will not affect efficacy and your protection will continue. GermFree24 leaves the skin during the natural exfoliation process.

HOW WILL MY HANDS FEEL ONCE I HAVE APPLIED GERMFREE24?

On application, the hands feel silky and moisturised without leaving a visible film or coating. A single application of GermFree24 will act like a glove providing an invisible bond to the skin for 24 hours without the need for reapplication.

SHOULD I APPLY GERMFREE24 MORE THAN ONCE A DAY?

You don’t have to. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser remains active on the skin until natural exfoliation has occurred and this usually takes around 24 hours (dependent on the activity or regular use of your hands with items such as shovels etc). But within high-risk environments (Health Care e.g.), it’s OK to use GermFree24 more frequently.

WILL GERMFREE24 HAND SANITISER DRY OUT MY HANDS AND CAUSE CHAPPED SKIN?

NO. Unlike other hand sanitisers that contain up to 72% alcohol which chap the hands and dry the skin, GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser is a mild but effective formulation. On application, GermFree24leaves hands feeling soft and moisturised. Next time you go shopping, check out the hand sanitiser you are currently using and take note of the amount of alcohol it contains (50% to 72%) – potentially extremely dangerous to children if swallowed and generally comes with a Hazardous - Flammable – Dangerous Goods, warning!    

WHEN GERMFREE24 HAND SANITISER IS APPLIED TO THE HANDS WILL IT ALLOW THE SKIN TO FUNCTION NORMALLY (EG. PRODUCE ITS OWN OIL AND SWEAT)?

YES. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser does not inhibit the normal function of the skin. The antimicrobial layer produced by application of GermFree24 bonds to the skin is permeable to gases and allows the skin to “breathe” normally.

HAS GERMFREE24 BEEN TESTED ON A VARIETY OF SKIN TYPES?

YES. Dermatest (a renowned and accredited dermatological testing laboratory in Germany) has tested GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser on a variety of skin types (older people, young people, fair skinned and dark skinned people etc) – with zero reactions recorded. Test results available upon request.

WILL THERE BE OTHER ZOONO PRODUCTS RELEASED IN THE FUTURE?

DEFINITELY. There is ongoing development exploring new uses for our amazing Zoonotechnology.
